The two-week internship program on English communication skills for third-year GDC students is a great initiative. It is good to see that the students are focused on basic grammar and LSRW skills. These are all essential skills for success in the workplace, and they will be especially important for students who are looking to be employed across the world.

Our students are confident that this internship program will be very beneficial for the students. It is clear that the college management is committed to making its students employable, and this program is a great example of that commitment. College management would like to congratulate Rev. Fr. Lieo Charles SDB the Vice Principal, Mr. J. Ignatius Adaikalaraj, Head of the department Printing Technology and Mr. Wasim Raja, Lecturer in Printing Technology for their efforts to develop English communication skills of our students. This is a valuable investment that will pay off in the long term for both the students and the college.

 The 91^stbirth Anniversary of Br. Santi was celebrated as a community along with the SIGA college students. The Holy Eucharistic was celebrated and solemnized by Fr.D’Souza who gave a brief introduction about the life lived by Br. Santi, and the homily was being preached by FR. Thomas, about the life of Br. Santi, and his experience of being with Br. Santi. The rest of   the community members took part in the Eucharistic celebration and prayed for Br. Santi and offered flowers for his photo. At the end of the Eucharistic celebration, Fr. P.T. Joseph thanked the members of the community and the entire college students, staff who made the evet successful one. The entire campus prayed for the great personality and admired his untiring hard work and dedication he put for the uplifting the SIGA press and the entire campus. Br. Santi, lived a simple life and in an extraordinary way.

 He lived and worked in SIGA, for 56 years, and who had left a great legacy, and educated more young people by providing job opportunities and giving them bright future. He also encouraged the young to pursue career opportunities. He stood as an outstanding brother in bringing up the poor young people, and he is such a remarkable person who dedicated his life to work forthe young people. During his life time in SIGA, he mainly focused on various initiatives that directly benefited the young people, especially in the printing field. He developed the printing press and showed the way to many young people, growing up in a community where limited resources and opportunities that young people faced in their pursuit of education and personal development. This experience fueled his determination to make a difference in the life of so many vulnerable young people who have no future, and provided them bright future. One of the most significant contributions founded by Br. Santi was, dedicated to empowering the youth through printing. This printing has created a lifeline for countless young individuals in his life, providing them with the tools and support needed to overcome challenges and achieve their dreams. He helped them to discover their strengths and passions. His guidance was instrumental in steering the young people towards promising careers and fulfilling lives.

The graduates were honored with the cap and the gowns and gave away the certificates. It allowed all the student graduates to acknowledge their hard work and dedication, and which provided them an opportunity for family and friends to share in their accomplishments. In a way, it is a great pride for the students as well as the institution to nurture their academic growth. All the parents were very happy to see their children receiving the graduate gown and the cap presented as an academic achievement. All the students who received the graduated certificate, felt very happy and expressed their feelings and were really grateful to SIGA for helping them and molding them to reach and achieve their goal. Each student expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff members, who helped them to lean and come up in their lives. It is a great honor also for the SIGA college staff, to see their students excelling in their life with good career and job opportunities.

After the convocation ceremony, all the parents, along with their children, who got graduate certificate, have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the SIGA management.

 The meeting was organized to elect  a secretary for the past pupils unit, who will be directly in charge of the past pupils of SIGA and who will be also coordinating the events happening for the past pupils of SIGA institution. The meeting was also organized to provide a comprehensive understanding of its activities. The meeting began with the prayer and including its objectives and also the current initiatives to be taken for the upcoming year. The primary importance of the meeting was discussed ways to enhance the SIGAPPU past pupils unit, and also the importance of organizing events, reunions, and networking to keep connected with the institution and to help the institution in whatever way possible. The meeting also included the benefits and services that the institution can provide for career support, access facilities for the future generation. The meeting has provided a valuable platform for the past pupils to exchange ideas and insights on various things going to take place in the coming past pupils meetings. The meeting was attended by the SIGAPPU past pupils, to select a new leader to guide the organization in the upcoming term. The meeting was conducted in a transparent manner.

Mr. Santosh was nominated as a candidate and president for the past pupils association, after which he presented his vision and plans for the organization during the meeting. He took the responsibility of leading the association, implementing his vision and fostering connections among the past pupils. The entire team of past pupils congratulated the newly elected member Mr. Santosh, and encouraged him to take the past pupils association forward with great trust and confidence. All the committee heads, Fr. Dominic Matthews, Fr. P.T. Joseph, and Fr. Lieo, congratulated the newly elected president for the past pupils of SIGAPPU, and encouraged him to take the SIGAPPU forward with great strength and support of all the SIGAPPU past pupils.

SIGAPPU has conducted the Unit election today as per the protocols and statutes of Don Bosco Past Pupils Federation and the new team has been elected unopposed under Unit Delegate & Rector: Rev Fr Dominic Matthews

The ITI’s well-equipped laboratories and workshops provide students with the opportunity to learn and practice using the latest machinery and tools. This hands-on training is essential for students to develop the skills they need to be successful in the workplace.

Our Students particularly impressed by the fact that the faculty of the institute explained the practical training methodologies and demonstrated the use of different equipment. This is a great way for students to learn about the different aspects of their chosen trade and to see how the equipment is used in real-world settings. Our students were able to appreciate the hands-on learning environment at the ITI. This type of learning is essential for students to develop the skills they need to be successful in their careers.

Our students are confident that the visit will benefit greatly from their visit to the Government Industrial Training Institute, Guindy, Chennai. Mr. M. Subash, Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering and Mr. I. Sahayaraj Jerold Instructor accompanied the students to the industry.

It is encouraging to know that Mr. Ravanantham, Assistant Professor of Chemistry participated in the work shop. The workshop was very thought-provoking and informative, and that it provided guidance to students on how to prevent themselves from drugs. It is also important to highlight the current situations of college students, as they may be at an increased risk of drug addiction due to factors such as peer pressure, stress, and mental health issues.

The workshop was a valuable experience for all participants, and that it will help to prevent drug addiction among students. It is very glad to hear that all participants were given a certificate of participation. This is a nice way to acknowledge their efforts and to encourage them to continue learning about drug addiction and prevention. It is important to raise awareness about drug addiction and to promote prevention efforts.
